The project deals with the design of the production of a rod-shaped component using a die swage. The material is steel 12 060. Based on a literature study on forging and calculations, the forging, the technological process and the hammer die were designed. Based on the calculated work required, the power hammer KHZ 2 was designed. Technical and economic evaluation was performed
