The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine three vampire novels written by prominent English authors during the nineteenth century, when the Gothic genre began and became popular. The authors in question are John Polidori and his work The Vampyre, Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu and his work Carmilla and Bram Stoker and his famous work Dracula.
