The role of social work for family with disabled child over the period of compulsory schooling Possibilities and limits the use of social services in South Bohemia

This thesis deals with the provision of social care services for families with a handicapped child aged 6-15 years. The thesis describes how is the family affected by the birth of a disabled child, such as phases of the family is going through and how it affects the position of the healthy siblings if there is any. Than thesis describes methods of social work with families and focus on the family as a complex. From this they derive principles that should be implemented to the work with the family with a handicapped child. Than I describe social care services that are provided to disabled children aged 615 years. Based on the of theoretical information is developed a comparative analysis of various service organizations with a focus on disabled children aged 615 years in South Bohemia
