Possibilities of Bilingual Preschool Education in the Czech Republic

This bachelor´s thesis "Bilingual preschool education options in the Czech Republic" is focused on the early mastery of the German language within the Czech preschool institutions in the form of immersion. The theoretical part outlines the child´s language development, bilingual preschool education in terms of curricula, the risks and benefits of bilingual education, types of bilingualism, bilingual education methods, the phases of learning a foreign language and sustainability of children´s bilingualism. The practical part presents the results of a bilingual preschool education in selected case studies.
