Christian virtues, personality of an elementary teacher and his moral impact on pupils

The paper deals with a question whether it is possible to identify any character elements of an elementary teacher that would agree with Christian virtues. First, we define the notion of a virtue and view the virtues from the historical development. Further, we divide the virtues into cardinal and theological ones. After that we characterize the term value from philosophical and psychological point of view, inclusive of the term character. In the second chapter, we mention the teacher's personality, the significance of teacher's example and his moral effect on pupils. In the last chapter, we provide a qualitative research using a content data analysis. From the qualitative research we can see that virtues can be found in attitudes, personality traits and values. The transmission of virtues occurs mainly by its own example of each teacher
