The Issue of Toponyms

This dissertation deals with a description of the attributive urbanonyms in two cities of Vysočina region. Accordingly, the aim of this work is to chart the street nomenclature using the attribute, namely in terms of historical development and semantic motivation. This work is divided into two parts. The theoretical section follows up onomastics as a discipline, its history, personalities, as well its characteristic, basic division and functionality. The next part of theoretical section is about toponyms, specifically attributive urbanonyms, making clear their progression and frequency in the Czech republic.
