This bachelor thesis discusses sales promotion, its application and effectivity in a particular retail trade. The theoretical part introduces sales promotion in its entirety and for a correct understanding of the issue it situates it into the context of the whole marketing communication. In the practical part of this work are dealt with the introduction of a network of stationary stores McPen and the selected retail trade in Ceske Budejovice. Next, the marketing communication and used sales promotion tools are analysed.
