Council on Academic Affairs. Minutes. May 30, 2007

This is the minutes for the Council on Academic Affairs' meeting on May 30, 2007. Brian L. Winer and W. Randy Smith (the Chair and Vice Chair, respectively) gave comments regarding relevant updates and led the continued discussion of the Report of the Committee on the University-Wide Review of Undergraduate Education. Professors Brian L. Winer and W. Randy Smith also presented the proposal from the Fisher College of Business for a Combined Program - BS in Business Administration/Masters of Labor and Human Resources which Professor Stephen Mangum and Jay Yutzey discussed with the Council. Professors Brian L. Winer and W. Randy Smith presented the proposal from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering to rename its graduate program from Computer and Information Science to Computer Science and Engineering and the proposal for policies and procedures for approving and listing designated service learning courses. Professor Golden Jackson-Mergler discussed this proposal with the Council. The meeting concluded with the election of Halasek as Chair and Smith as Vice Chair for the 2007-2008 term
