The structure was never officially named by the Board of Trustees. The whole project, of which this building was a part, was variously referred to as the Artillery Cottage, Garage and Shop, Artillery Garage and Cottage. The Garage portion was variously called the Military Department Garage, the ROTC Garage, and the Artillery Garage
