IMPACT. 1: The impacts of this partnership have resulted in the formation of the Institute for Tibetan Plateau Research (ITPR) with two campuses, the first in Lhasa and a second in Beijing. -- 2. Since 2004, a graduate course in paleoclimatology has been taught simultaneously here at OSU and at ITPR using a videoconferencing system provided by the OSU Office of Research. -- 3. Professors Yao Tandong, Lonnie Thompson and Volker Mosbrugger of Germany organized the first Third Pole Environment Workshop to bring together organizations studying glaciers and climate change in the Himalayan Mountains.OSU PARTNERS: Byrd Polar Research Center; School of Earth SciencesCOMMUNITY PARTNERS: Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research (China)PRIMARY CONTACT: L...
