Our previous study in Katavi ecosystem showed that prevalence of leptospirosis in livestock was 28%. This predisposes the agro-pastoralist communities at high risk of the diseases. Microscopic agglutination test (MAT) is the gold standard technique for diagnosis of Leptospirosis.
