This study aims at examining how music teachers perceive gender norms in music videos and song lyrics as well as how or if the teacher successively incorporates this into the education happening in the classroom. In other words, this study investigates further methods that music teachers use in terms of selection, as to which teaching materials may be included in the lesson, and how the teachers actually use the material. In order to collect the reflections that music teachers make about gender norms a questionnaire has been used in order to gather data.
