Suicide is a serious and topical problem in the world and in Lithuania. In this scientific work, I investigate socio-demographic characteristics, methods of suicides and relations with the use of psychoactive substances. The study is based on the database of the Kaunas Forensic Medicine Archives (2016 year). In the results I compare my study with other works (mostly with works in which data were collected from people who attempted suicide)
