The residents opinion about quality of drinking water from shaft wells and it's relationship with health

Introduction. The fact that water is the greatest asset and value of the world, no one would dare to object. It supports the cell's life and protects the body from various diseases and diseases, but it can become infected and get sick. Increasing pollution forces us to think about preservation, cleanliness and sustainability. Aim of study. To evaluate the opinion of residents about the quality of drinking water and health complaints related to it. Objectives. 1. To evaluate the quality of drinking water in Kaunas city and Jonava district. 2. To assess the population's attitude to the quality of well water wells. 3. To evaluate the attitudes of the population towards the connection between drinking water quality and health complaints and the possibilities of choosing an alternative source of water. Methods. A qualitative in-depth interview was made. The evaluation lasts for 8 months. The study involved 8 different specialties, age and sex inhabitants living in Jonava district in the community of gardens using drinking water from wells. An interpretive analysis method (looking for the personal meaning of people with some particular experience in a particular context) were made. The main means of achieving this goal are: interview, questionnaire, observation. All three measures in the research work were used. Results. All subjects are satisfied with the quality of water and they themselves behave with nature in a responsible way, are conscious and understand the damage caused to them by external factors; they try to maintain the wells that are in place, although not everyone was familiar with them. Most often they use their neighbor's experiences and lessons. There were no health problems that would be addressed to doctors in connection with drinking water from shaft wells. Conclusions. There is a lack of knowledge about the issues of drinking water from shaft wells, water quality and health issues, and environmental issues
