The objective of this research was to examine that the use of repetition drill can improve students' ability in pronouncing sounds of suffix –ed at SMP Bala Keselamatan Palu. Pre-experimental research design was applied in this study. The research sample was class VIII A which consisted of 30 students. The sample was taken through cluster sampling technique. The data were collected by using tests (pre-test and post-test). The result of pre-test was 8.56 and the result of post-test was 20.26. Therefore, the mean deviation was 11.7. Then, data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test. It was proved by testing hypothesis.
