Concept Sentence Model for Improving the Ability of Student Writing for Narrative Studies

This research is motivated by the problem of the ability to write narrative essay in 4th grade  which is in SDN Cinunuk 05 Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency. Based on the results of field studies found problems in the learning process of Indonesian especially on the material writing narrative essay that is still a lot of students who difficult to pour ideas into writing, difficulty in developing the main idea or main idea into writing, students are also less able to use capital letters and punctuation Well and precisely. Therefore the researcher uses the concept of sentence model (concept sentence) as an alternative solution in learning writing narrative essay. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the learning process of writing essay writing in 4th grade by using the concept of sentence model (concept sentence) and how to improve student ability in writing essay by using concept sentence model (concept sentence) in 4th  grade. This study aims to obtain a description of the process of learning to write a narrative text of fourth grade students of elementary school by using the concept of sentence model and improving the ability to write a narrative text of fourth grade students of elementary school using concept sentence model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research using Jhon Elliot design. The research subjects used are the fourth graders of SDN Cinunuk 05 which amounted to 26 people. The study was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of 3 actions. The research instruments used in this study are assessment, teacher and student observation sheets, field notes, interview sheets and documentation. The findings that existed at the time of research among the student learning process is still difficult in making the main idea in accordance with the keyword, the ability to write essay writing students are still not able to use capital letters and punctuation correctly. Data analysis is done with qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results of research have been done that by using the concept of sentence model (concept sentence) able to improve the process and ability of writing student narrative writing. Improved process and ability to write student narrative essay can be seen from the average value of each cycle. The average value of the learning process of writing a student narrative essay on cycle 1 is 67,5, in cycle 2 is 83,2 and cycle 3 is 89,8. While the score of writing ability of student narrative at cycle 1 the average score is 45,7, in cycle 2 the average score is 64,2 and in cycle 3 the average score is 81,5. The concept sentence model can facilitate And assist students in writing narrative essays
