[[abstract]]The article presents a study on the bioaccumulation of arsenic in milkfish to assess the potential hazards of arsenic in the aquacultural environment. Samples of juvenile milkfish and ambient water were obtained from 9 culture ponds in blackfoot disease area. Three fish and three 500 milliliter water samples per pond were collected. The milkfish were placed on ice immediately, and kept at 4°ree;C during transfer to the laboratory. The water samples were fixed by adding 5 milliliter 1 normality nitric acid
