Efektifitas Penyuluhan Tentang Pentingnya Pemeriksaan Pap Smear Kepada Ibu Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sukarami.

Background : In the world cervical cancer is the number one killer of women. One ways to prevent the rising incidence of cervical cancer with checked ourselves in screening pap smear, health education is one way to that can be used to improve their mother knowledge about the importance of screening pap smear so may lower rate incidence with cervical cancer sceening of pap smear conducted to determine cancer cells as early as possible so treatment can be done as early as possible, Goal : The purpose of this research is to find out knowledge influence healt education against mother about the importance of pap smear region of Sukarami Public Health Center Palembang. Method : The research was conducted from June 12-16 2015, this research is a quantitative method with quasy experiment with used technique and proportional random sampling, study sample in this study was 64 respondent. Result : The result of this study showed analysis using test univariat obtained the result that mean of knowledge before healt education was 6,58 and average knowledge after conducted healt education 16,57 statistics wilcoxon obtained from the results of the test p-value 0,00 (≤ 0,05) so that it can be effectif that there more healt education against knowledge mother about the importance of examination pap smear pap smear. Conclusion : Examination pap smeae is very important by mothers in order to prevent the occurrence of cancer of the cervix
