Tez (Doktora)--İTÜ Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2013Bu çalışmada, selüloz üretim kapasitesine sahip ve mutasyon direnci sergileyen Gluconacetobacter türlerinin izolasyonu ve karakterizasyonu amaçlanmıştır. Asetik asit bakterilerinin, sirke fermantasyonu atığı, çürük ve taze meyveler gibi sıralanabilecek tipik izolasyon kaynakları taranarak 329 izolat elde edilmiş ve bu izolatlardan dokuz adedinin selüloz üretebildiği tespit edilmiştir. Uygulanan detaylı morfolojik ve biyokimyasal testler, bu izolatların Acetobacteraceae ailesinin Gluconacetobacter cinsine uyum sağladıklarını göstermiştir.
