ANALISIS DETERMINAN TINGKAT SOLVABILITAS PERUSAHAAN ASURANSI DI INDONESIA PERIODE TAHUN 2008-2014

The purpose of this study is going to know about what are the determinants of solvency in insurance company in Indonesia at the period of 2008 – 2014. This research using data from financial reports from 8 insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) at the period of 2008 – 2014. This study using multiple linier regression with panel data and an approach of Fixed Effect Model. The results indicated that solvency of insurance company in Indonesia were affected statistically positive and significant by Firm Size (SIZE) and Liquidity Ratio (LIQ), while insignificantly positive by Profitability (PROF), Combined Ratio (COMB), and Investment Performance (INVEST). The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) is 0,6738 which means that 67,38% of the dependant variable, i.e solvability rate, can be explained by the five independent variables, which are Firm Size (SIZE), Profitability (PROF), Liquidity Ratio(LIQ), Combined Ratio (COMB), and Investment Performance (INVEST).Meanwhile the rest 32,62% of solvability rate can be explained by other.
