PENGARUH UPAH MINIMUM DAN PENGELUARAN PEMERINTAH TERHADAP KEMISKINAN DI PULAU JAWA TAHUN 2007 - 2013

ABSTRACT Yudha Hardiyanto. The influence of Minimum Wages and Government Expenditures on Poverty in Java Island Year 2007 – 2013. Cooperative Economic Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. This research aims to see how the influence of minimum wage, government expenditure of education and health sector on poverty rate in Java. The Data used in this research are the annual data from Badan Pusat Statistik and Direktorat Jendral Perimbangan Keuangan Ministry of Finance Republik Indonesia which includes from year 2007 to 2013. This research used panel data regression model with Eviews 8.0. Data shows that minimum wage is significantly influence the poverty rate with negative coefficient -0.751 dan it shows that minimum wage can raise people incomes so the can fulfill their standard living needs. And then government expenditure on health sector is significantly influence poverty with negative coefficient -0.253 and shows that government expenditure on health sector can provide a better health services access for poor people. While the government expenditure on education sector is insignificantly influence the poverty rate with negative coefficient -0124. In other words government expenditure on educational sector still can’t provide a better educational services access for the poor. This might have been caused by uneffective and not right on target of the expenditure allocation.
