HUBUNGAN ANTARA POLA ASUH ORANGTUA DENGAN SELF-ESTEEM PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMK NEGERI 44 JAKARTA PUSAT

ALIASHIFA. Relationship between Parenting style and Student’s Self-esteem in XI Grade at 44 National Vocational School Jakarta Pusat. Thesis. Jakarta. This study aims to determine whether there is the relationship between parenting style and Student’s Self-esteem in XI Grade at 44 National Vocational School Jakarta Pusat. The research used survey method. The population was all students in XI class of 44 National Vocational School Jakarta Pusat and affordable population was all students in XI grade which amounts to 202 students. The sampel used as many as 114 by using proportional random sampling. Collecting data using the technique of questionnaires. Before the instruments were used, the construct validity for the Variable parenting style (X) has valid, the result is, from 35 statements of variable X that has been validated as many as 30 statements declared valid and the remaining 5 statements drop. The construct validity for the variabel self-esteem (Y) ) has valid, the result is, from 30 statements of variable Y that has been validated as many as 27 statements declared valid and the remaining 3 statements drop. The result of the reliabilty of the variable X is 0,882 while the reliability of the variable Y is 0,722. Technique of data analysis using ms.excel, start with finding the rest requirements analysis test. Normality test showing L test (0.0774) < L (0.0830), it means that the distribution of data was normal. Linearity test results Paremting Style and Self-esteem have a linear relationship that F test table (-1.18) < F (1.61). The regression equation obtained was Ŷ = 143,89 - 0.58X. The test hypothesis that the F test in the Anova table to produce Ftest (62,50) > F table table (3,92), it means that the self-regulated learning and procrastination have a significant regression model. The correlation coefficient between X and Y at -0.59 and significance test using t test was –t (-8.115) < t (-1.980). The results of these studies conclude that there is a negative correlation and significant between Paremting Style and Self-esteem by determination coefficient (R table 2 ) 35,82%
