Transdiagnostisk gruppbehandling på en vårdcentral

Stress-related disorders have increased in Sweden and the time for sick leave are very long. The aim of this pilot study with twenty-nine participants was to evaluate transdiagnostic group treatment for a mixed sample of patient in primary care with diagnosis like anxiety, depression and stress-related disorders. Data collection was done at three points, before and after and at follow up one month later. Participant ́s sick leave decreased significantly from before to after treatment. In addition fatigue syndrome and anxiety were significantly improved after treatment. At follow up outcome measures improved significantly compared to baseline i.e depression, fa-tigue syndrome, anxiety and quality of life, for twenty-four completers. The study showed a significant correlation between working alliance and quality of life but not with the other outcome measures. Working alliance has proven to be important for the outcome of treatment in other studies. The benefit of the treatment in terms of outcome measures were somewhat larger for the participants who were on sick leave than for them that was not on sick leave between start and follow up. No significant difference between the groups were found. The attendance under the treatment was high and the participants taxed very much benefit of the individual sessions and treatment overall. Transdiagnostic group treatment in primary care is feasible and should be developed and studied
