The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the historical background of the Palestine and problem with a view to place it in a proper perspective. The Chapter II discusses the importance of Egypt within the Arab world. The Chapter III throws light on the diplomatic process which culminated in the Camp David Accord. The Chapter IV carries forward the discussion about the impact of the Camp David Accord forward, and analyses how some of the contradictions created by the peace process were resolved with the passage of time. The Chapter 5th sums up the main findings of the study
