The present study deals with the biology of an indigenous carp Schizothorax Curvifrons Hockel from a stretch of River Jhelum with certain hydro biological parameters. The survey was conducted from July 1980 to June 1982. The main aspects undertaken in the study are: (a) Biological Aspect: Morphometric, length-weight relationship, food and feeding habits, age and growth, fecundity, maturity and embryology of schizothorax curvifrons are considered for study under this heading (b)Hydro biological Aspect: Certain physical, chemical and biological features of river water of two sites were considered for the investigation. c) Fish and Fisheries: The aspects covered are physical features, water chemistry, plankton and ben...
