Currently, materials collected from end-of-life (EoL) products are recycled into raw material for reusing in a new production cycle. However, energy consumptions of recycling sectors remain important. The added values and energy used in the manufacture of original parts are also lost during the material recycling process. Nowadays, additive manufacturing techniques are sufficiently efficient and allow the manufacture of products with a material compatible with the use. Taking into account the performances of these techniques in a sustainable strategy can open the ways to modify parts and reuse them directly without returning to the raw material level.
