The cleaning technology for exhaust air is an area under constant development. In collaboration with Ozone Tech Systems the project resulted in a lab scale test rig for air cleaning units. The test rig was designed primarily to investigate the mechanisms of an UV reactor as well as the life times of a hydrogen sulphide absorption bed and an activated carbon bed. The thesis consisted in the design of the system, the acquisition of units and the construction of the system followed by the modelling of the pollutant elimination in the UV reactor.
