Public Private Partnership (PPP) is a globally accepted public sector procurement mechanism whereby the government engages commitment from private sector and transfers a certain level of responsibilities to the private sector in providing public facilities or services. PPP involves the transfer to the private sector the responsibility to finance and manage a package of capital investment and services including the construction, management, maintenance, refurbishment and replacement of public sector assets such as buildings, infrastructure, equipment and other facilities, which creates a standalone business.
