The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the novice teacher and the possibilities of his / her professional growth in further education. The aim of the thesis is to reveal the deficiencies in the approach of novice nursery teachers to further education. The theoretical part defines the requirements for teachers in terms of legal legislation and system documents. It focuses on professional competencies and standards and describes career development and adaptation period. Within the practical part, quantitative research was carried out through a questionnaire survey.
