Structure and support of organic farming in the Czech Republic

Organic farming is an alternative agricultural system, which produce good quality food, sustains health of soils, ecosystems and mainly people. This work is focused on analysis of the structure of organic farming production and his financial support in the South Bohemia Region and in the Czech Republic. This bachelor thesis is based on analysis and databases of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information, Ministry of Agriculture and interviews and discussions with organic farmers of the South Bohemian Region, which serve as a feedback to confirm or decline the results. It describes the structure of agricultural land use in organic farming in the South Bohemia Region. All data are compared with the structure of the Czech Republic. The analysis monitors structure of land, acreage of organic farming, numbers of organic farmers, mainly financial support, plant production and livestock production
