The topic of this bachelor thesis is misspellings and variations in the written use of Italianisms in Czech. In the theoretical part of the thesis, there is a brief introduction starting from the beginning of the Czech National Revival up until nowadays, and it is possible to read about different types of borrowings, their division, types of adaptation and the concept of misspelling. In the practical part, variants of the newly arrived Italianisms in the Czech lexicon are presented according to authentic materials from the gastronomic area. For these borrowings, a detailed analysis focuses on the rate of adaptation and frequency of variants in corpuses SYN2010 and SYN2015.
