The subject of the present thesis is the design of the main landing gear of an innovative aircraft in the framework of the PARSIFAL project. The aim is the definition of a landing gear configuration satisfying all specific requirements of a future PrandtlPlane civil transport aircraft, including the introduction of electromechanical actuation. The design methodology adopted makes use of dynamic modelling and multibody simulation from the very first stages, with the aim of providing efficient and reliable tools for a preliminary sizing, and early evaluation of performances and dynamic loads.
