The study was conducted to identify parasite and to investigate the extent and intensity of infection in female sturgeons. Babolsar and Bandar Turkmen fishing grounds in Mazandaran province were selected as study sites. A total of 346 fishes were examined of which 89 fishes (25.6%) were infected with the parasite. Contamination rate in Huso huso and Acipenser guldenstadti Brandt were determined to be greater than other species. Study of averaged absolute fecundity and percent of infected eggs showed a lower intensity of infection in sturgeons
