Particle Accelerators. A tool for scientific-technical research.Particle accelerators, originally developed for basic research, have long been used for medical and industrial applications. Therefore, an accelerator built for therapy, can also be used for other purposes.These include studies into how radiation affects biological systems, as well as into material research, space technology, and the fields of geophysics and archaeology. Some of these applications will be reviewed in this article
