Who Pins Responsability on Justice?

Sexual equality has not yet been achieved in our Western societies, neither by means of the acknowledgement of women’s rights nor by means of the development of so called “anti-discriminatory” laws. Moreover, the poverty threshold for women and children, as well as domestic violence against them, seem to be gradually increasing. However, and despite its limitations, the ethical idea of a universal justice –or “global”, according to the contemporary terminology– still has a role to play as a “regulative idea” not only in the philosophical discourses, but also in social, legal and political contexts. This is a challenge on which feminism puts at stake its best theoretical knowledge as well as its practical survival
