This chapter situates emerging practices in textiles within the context of the rising bioeconomy and the organism industry. Arguing for a radical shift in textile design processes and the need to embrace new models of biofabrication to transition towards more sustainable fashion and textile production, the chapter refers to a series of design artefacts that embody new biotextiles practices mindful of a bio-circular economy
