The Typhoon that generated at sea, east of Yap Island, struck Nippon Proper on September 21, 1934, and all Nippon suffered somewhat, especialJy the districts of Sikoku and Kinki, which being in the region of the passage of its centre, sustained great damage. The centre of the typhoon hit Hane Village, Tosa Province, at 4 a.m., September 21, where the pressure intensity of its centre was estimated to be lower than 684 mm, which is the lowest pressure of any typhoon so far recorded. Upon the typhoon passing the coasts of these two districts, they sustained great damage from the kaze-tunami that was generated by the typhoon, the losses due to the kaze-tunami exceeding those due to the wind itself.昭和9年9月21日台風による風害及び風津浪に関する論文及報
