Spatial and temporal patterns of seismicity arc visualized on color computer graphics by a method of semi-transparent volume rendering. Shading and classification procedures are applied to the influence function, the sum of the individual influence functions which are either Gaussian or quadratic in space and exponential in time in reference to the hypocenters and origin times of corresponding seismic events.
