The purpose of the present study is to clarify the crustal tilt before and after the Izu-Hanto-Toho-Oki earthquake. The measurements of crustal tilt at the Usami observation site has been carried out by using two sets of TEM-tiltmeters since July 1979. The pre- and coseismic tilt changes are clarified by a comparison with the predicted tilt
