Blackberry is a growing crop species in Brazil, and with great prospects for growth. The practice of pruning in most temperate fruits has a great influence on their development and production. The experiment was conducted in the 2016/17 crop, in the municipality of Morro Redondo, RS, with the objective of identifying the best branch for the evaluation of phenology and the influence of different seasons and intensities of pruning in the cycle duration and in the thermal accumulation of the crop, besides the influence of this management on the production and quality of the fruits.
