YAP1 gene is a component of Salvador-Warts-Hippo pathway in mammalian. The aim of my thesis is to define the role of YAP1 in 11q22-amplified cancer cell lines. I demonstrate that YAP1 plays an important role in the tumorigenic phenotype, as it effectively supports multiple transformed properties in 11q22-amplified cancer cell lines
