This study was aimed at investigating the reliability and validity of an Indonesian adaptation of the Questionnaire on Teacher Interaction (QTI) for measuring teacher interpersonal behaviour and describing a profile of Indonesian teachers based on this questionnaire. The QTI was based on the Model of Interpersonal Behaviour (MITB) that maps teacher conducts in terms of two dimensions: Influence (Dominance-Submission) and Proximity (Cooperation-Opposition). Several steps were taken to construct an Indonesian version of the questionnaire involving 1280 students of 53 teachers from 39 science, mathematics and English classes (grade 7 to 9) in 5 public secondary schools in Indonesia.
