Future power infrastructure will have a significant contribution from renewable energy sources. Ability to handle the challenges arising from these private-owned time-varying and poorly predicted sources is vital for the feasibility of such future power systems. An active network concept has been proposed as a potential solution for distributed generation (DG) introduction. In this paper, an simplified configuration of the active network has been investigated in a laboratory setup based on three 3-phase feeders.
