To reduce harmful emissions numerical models are developed to simulate combustion processes in engineering applications. In this paper a model for partially-premixed combustion used in Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes Simulations (RANS) is presented. A flamelet approach combined with a Probability Density Function (PDF) closure method for the chemical source term is used to describe turbulence-chemistry interaction. The laminar flamelet database is generated using the Flamelet Generated Manifold (FGM) chemistry reduction technique; it is assumed that mixing and chemistry are fully described by mixture fraction and a reaction progress variable respectively.
