Using Bamboo as an Alternative Material for Environmental Friendly Building

Bamboo is one of natural resources that can be applied for building materials. In such bamboo growing countries, bamboo has main role as a building material for more than hundreds years ago. Sometimes bamboo can be used to replace wood based building material. Based on the detecting of problems on bamboo building related to the taxonomy of bamboo building, it can be found some solutions. Detecting of those problems can be identified by searching on the existing condition of bamboo and bamboo building in some bamboo growing countries. This way is proposed to identify the real condition, the challenge and the distortion of using bamboo as building material. This identification way accommodates the real problems that should be solved. We always look at bamboo as a bamboo life cycle that can be started with bamboo plantation, harvesting, using bamboo as building material and finally how to recycle a wasted bamboo building. With this life cycle, it will give opportunities to develop bamboo even bamboo is used directly from nature or used as bamboo products. So there will be also chances of how to create new building material based on natural resources like bamboo, what we can do with bamboo in the future, and can these chances be applicable for general natural resources
