This article presents a brief selection of studies published since early 2017 that explore various aspects of the functioning and organization of family medicine around the world. The duration of consultation in family medicine varies widely around the world, from less than 5 minutes to more than 20 minutes. An international survey on coordination of care in family medicine based on patients' experience shows that it could be improved, particularly in Switzerland, and that the oldest populations would benefit the most. Pay-for-performance in family medicine is a system that is currently struggling to convince.
