Introduction The issue of patients’ adherence to doctor’s instructions has been widely discussed in medical and popular newspapers in the recent years. Inadequate patient’s adherence is a great problem in medicine, which negatively affects treatment endpoints. Poor adherence is most often seen in treatment of chronic diseases, where irregular use of prescribed medication makes good disease control impossible. It is estimated that 50% of patients suffering from chronic diseases do not adhere to doctor’s instructions.
