Background: Strongyloides stercoralis infection is a neglected tropical disease in endemic areas such as Peru, with an overall frequency of 6.6%. Four clinical syndromes can be distinguished: acute (AS), chronic (CS), hyperinfection (HS) and disseminated strongyloidiasis (DS). Objective: To describe the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of patients diagnosed with strongyloidiasis. Material and methods: 27 clinical charts of patients with estrongioloidiasis admitted from July 2014 to August 2015 at the Hospital Regional Lambayeque, from Peru, were reviewed.
