<div><p class="abstract"><strong>BACKGROUND:</strong> Epidemiologic studies have shown an inverse association between dietary fiber<strong> </strong>and metabolic syndrome (MetS). Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the association between MetS and consumption of legumes in adults in Isfahan, Iran.</p> <p class="abstract"><strong>METHODS:</strong> This cross-sectional study was carried out on 2027 individuals who were a subsample of the 3<sup>rd</sup> phase of the Isfahan Healthy Heart Program (IHHP).
