This analysis of the ancient place-names of Contestania and Edetania seeks to establish their correct linguistic roots. This will enable us to draw important conclusions about the various substrates of the region’s linguistic profile. There is a significant number of Iberian, Greek and Latin names, representing the succession of these cultures in the area studied.
